As the controversy over abortion continues to increase in the United States, it is evident adoption is becoming a more popular option. There are many couples that would love to have kids but are not capable to do so. My aunt and her partner were blessed with the opportunity to adopt two girls from outside of the United States. Their biological mothers could have made the decision to abort them, but instead decided to give them to a family who has always wanted children of their own.
If more people were educated on this option, more people like Sherry and Mary could become parents and fulfill their dreams of having a family. Not everyone who is expecting is ready to be a parent, and although it might seem like the only option, adoption can give hope to the unplanned child's future.
