What is Beautiful

This is a photo that when you look at the image on the right hand side it looks disproportional and just plain ugly. In society women are pressured to be forever beautiful and sometimes you see people turn to plastic surgery to keep their beauty. Through this picture you can clearly see that the picture of her natural beauty on the left hand side is so much more prettier than the one next to it. Here I have taken the three most common facial features operated on.

The right hand picture over exaggerates the idea that getting plastic surgery on you're eyes, nose, and mouth can actual end up destroy you're face when surgery is thought to "fix the problem area". Women shouldn't feel forced to change their faces because they don't feel pretty enough for society. If diversity wasn't a factor in society we would all end up looking the same and that would be the greatest disaster known to mankind.

  1. From my opinion women should except the way they are and not think about what the next person is going to think about them but that's just how women are. Being insecure is all natural with most women.

  2. This is a very good message. In society women are pressured to look "perfect", and plastic surgery can make that happen. However women are perfect the way they are and they dont need to look like what society says they do.

  3. Good pictures, I agree that now days everyone is too pressured in following what media tells us to be like. It is a shame that people are so ashamed of themselves that they will surgically enhance themselves rather than express their unique qualities.

  4. People try to conform so much into being "perfect" and "beautiful" that they will go to the extents of getting plastic surgery on something they want fixed. After they do that, it might become disproportionate to the rest of them, and will want to keep making changes, and may even end up harming themselves, or looking worse.

  5. This is a great point to bring up because plastic surgery is being done to people younger and younger. I've heard of teenagers getting it for their graduation gifts. Girls are being told they aren't good enough, or pretty enough. That's why plastic surgery is so important to some. They dwell on their imperfections, instead of celebrating their good qualities. This also isn't just for women either. Men get Botox, and surgeries done as well. We all have our own insecurities.

  6. I really like these pictures and your message. In society today it seems like everyone wants to look the same and want to be "perfect" and "beautiful". Unfortunately, women view these things as, skinny, perfect skin, etc. People should be focusing more on being different and accepting the way they look as beautiful, without getting plastic surgery.

  7. I really like your pictures displayed in the blog. It provides a good example of what you would look like. In my opinion I think you look way less beautiful when your fake. Lauren you make a very good point also it is being done younger and younger. Why waste so much money on this?! People should just be themselves, everyone is beautiful in their own way without all the other stuff.
